As a follow up to the sermon, in an excerpt from Dr. Robert Gromacki's Salvation is Forever** (pg 177-182), here are twelve questions to test your salvation. In conjunction with each question is a Bible verse or two. Spend some time asking yourself these questions and read the verses.
- Do you enjoy spiritual fellowship with God, with Christ, and with fellow Christians? (I John 1:3-4)
- Do you have a sensitivity toward sin? (I John 1:5-10)
- Are you basically obedient to the commandments of Scripture? (I John 2:3-5)
- What is you attitude toward the world and its values? (I John 2:15)
- Do you love Jesus Christ and look forward to His coming? (II Timothy 4:8; I John 3:2,3)
- Do you practice sin less now that you have professed faith in Christ? (I John 3:5,6)
- Do you love other Christians? (I John 3:14)
- Have you experienced answered prayer? (I john 3:22; 5:14,15)
- Do you have the inner witness of the Holy Spirit? (Romans 8:15; I John 4:13)
- Do you have the ability to discern between spiritual truth and error?(John 10:3-5,27; I John 4:1-6
- Do you believe the basic doctrines of the faith? (I John 5:1)
- Have you experienced persecution for your Christian position? (John 15:18-20; Philippians 1:28)
Grace through Faith equals Salvation. We don't deserve God's Grace and we can't earn it. God is offering you His Grace…but it is your choice to accept it. The plan of salvation is an offering of God’s grace gift to you……
